“Deaf Women: A Parade Through the Decades” by Mabs Holcomb and Sharon Wood is one of the books in our lending library published by Dawn Sign Press in 1989. The book is divided into 19 short chapters which showcase different Deaf women and their contributions to society. This would be a wonderful book to share with young children or for teenagers (or adults) to read on their own. The entries for each woman are short and students could focus on one chapter or a variety of women from different chapters. There are a lot of photos and some illustrations in the book adding more interest for visual learners.
