The Educational Service Guidelines for Students Who Are Deaf and Hard of Hearing – the New Hampshire state standards for working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students – has been updated to reflect current online resources. The Guidelines were first published in 2012 following a multi-year group of stakeholders coming together to create the best practices for working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
The updated version of Educational Rule 507.35, the certification requirements for Educational Interpreters/Transliterators for Ages 3-21 (opens new tab), is also included in this version.
The Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education Initiative worked with Ranger Press (opens new tab) from the Texas School for the Deaf (opens new tab) to print the new Guidelines. Deaf and Hard of Hearing students from the Texas School for the Deaf were involved in the printing, assembling, and shipping, and we are so appreciative of their hard work.
